The First Two

It is here.

The moment you've all been waiting for.

The time when we announce the first selections for the series.

We received quite a number of incredible submissions, and it's been difficult to choose. So we started by picking two which were unanimous!

Ben Tricklebank and Aaron Koblin's short "Light Echoes" is a brief but mesmerizing piece where they "collapse time and space into images which document the historical pulses of data in the form of light reflecting off earth and matter." As one would expect from these two masters, it's beautiful and technologically pristine.

We have also selected up-and-coming director Gabriel Olson's film "The Bridge Partner," adapted from a story by Hugo Award winning author, Peter S. Beagle. It stars Beth Grant (No Country for Old Men, Little Miss Sunshine) and four time Emmy nominee Sharon Lawrence (NYPD Blue) as well as Academy Award Nominee Robert Forster (Jackie Brown, The Descendants). Gabriel's work has been acknowledged as a 2010 AICP Show Finalist and was recognized in the 2013 SHOOT New Directors Showcase.

MANNY

"Manny", the new feature film documentary edited by Lenny Mesina, releases this Friday January 23rd, in select theaters nationwide and on Video On Demand.  We featured the Manny trailer at our second event last year.
